This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

• Lead the design and execution of data ingestion architectures within Snowflake, ensuring both scalability and reliability.

• Take ownership of the development of comprehensive ELT pipelines that integrate various data sources.

• Create and enforce frameworks for data quality, which include validation rules, testing strategies, and monitoring processes.

• Implement and promote Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) best practices throughout data pipelines.

• Construct and enhance data pipelines and architectures using AWS services (S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR, etc.).

• Develop and refine data validation and ingestion frameworks, including UI components (Streamlit-based) as required.

• Serve as a technical leader, providing guidance on best practices in data engineering, governance, and pipeline reliability.

• Proactively identify potential risks, bottlenecks, and data quality concerns, implementing strategies for mitigation before they affect delivery.

• Contribute to data governance efforts, including data definitions, lineage, and stewardship practices.

• Facilitate the documentation and ongoing improvement of processes related to the data platform.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in Data Engineering, with a strong senior-level or leadership mindset expected.

• Significant hands-on experience with Snowflake is essential.

• Proven experience in building ELT pipelines and data ingestion solutions.

• Solid proficiency in SQL and large-scale data processing.

• Strong understanding and practical experience with Medallion Architecture is required.

• Experience in building and maintaining data pipelines within AWS is a plus.

• Familiarity with data quality, validation frameworks, and governance practices.

• Exposure to Snowflake Cortex is a plus.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data workflows is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Iceberg tables and Snowflake data sharing is a plus.

• Experience with tools such as dbt, Glue, Athena, EMR, Lambda, Terraform, or CloudFormation is a plus.
