Data Engineer – Tieto Tech Consulting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Creating scalable ETL/ELT pipelines utilizing Databricks, Spark/PySpark, and SQL.

• Designing and executing data lakes, lakehouse architectures, and analytics platforms.

• Integrating data from various enterprise systems.

• Developing analytics-ready datasets to support BI, advanced analytics, and AI workloads.

• Enhancing Spark workloads, data models, and the performance of pipelines.

• Assisting in the modernization of data platforms and transitioning from legacy ETL solutions.

• Collaborating within Agile teams alongside architects, analysts, and customer stakeholders.

• Contributing to engineering best practices, reusable patterns, and knowledge sharing.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles.

• Proficient programming skills in SQL and Python/PySpark.

• Practical experience with Databricks and Apache Spark.

• Familiarity with Azure or AWS data services.

• Proven experience in building ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.

• Knowledge of data lakes, data warehouses, and data modeling.

• Experience with Git and contemporary development practices.

• Capability to thrive in Agile teams and within a consulting environment.

• Strong spoken and written proficiency in English.

• Additional advantages include:

• Experience in banking, authoritative reporting, and manufacturing sectors.

• Certifications in Databricks, Azure, or AWS.

• Background in AI agent development and architecture, including Databricks Agent Bricks and Mosaic AI.

• Experience with data platform modernization or ETL migration projects.

• Familiarity with Delta Lake, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric.

• Experience with Power BI or other analytics tools.

• Experience working in international settings.
