Data Engineer – Scala

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable data solutions on AWS.

• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and compliant data platforms.

• Engage in teamwork under agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and utilize collaborative tools such as Jira.

• Assess functional requirements and compare them with product capabilities to ensure alignment with client needs.

• Exercise autonomy in managing tasks and responsibilities independently while maintaining a high standard of quality in the development and implementation of solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer.

• At least 3 years of experience working with Scala.

• Strong technical proficiency in: Spark, Scala, Python, SQL.

• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services, including: S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, EC2, Lambda.

• Solid background in ETL design and data modeling.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to foresee edge cases and scalability challenges.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.

• Proficient in English.
