This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Conduct research, provide recommendations, and implement the best combination of technologies for the infrastructure dashboard data platform (e.g., databases, processing frameworks, orchestration tools)
• Establish necessary data storage solutions with an emphasis on long-term scalability
• Integrate live data through API or other suitable methods from diverse domain sources
• Collaborate with domain experts to comprehend Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) data being received
• Ensure controls are in place for data anomalies and structural variances
• Develop a strong data pipeline for loading and transforming data into a model suitable for STF use, taking into account both immediate and future data objectives
• Formulate and enforce data governance policies, covering data quality standards, data lineage tracking, and metadata management
• Effectively communicate these policies to data analysts and relevant stakeholders
• Monitor and enhance the performance and security of databases and/or data models
• Carry out regular testing of pipeline integrity and data accuracy
• Collaborate with data stakeholders and the data analyst team to ensure that the foundational data and architecture align with the needs for requested visualizations and analyses
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture, data models, pipeline jobs, and all associated processes
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
• At least five (5) years of experience in database and dashboard development
• Strong background in databases, data processing frameworks, and orchestration tools
• Proficient in API integration and data ingestion from multiple sources
• Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and the development of data pipelines
• Expert knowledge of PowerBI
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail
