• Take full ownership of data architecture from start to finish. Define the methods for capturing, modeling, and serving essential business data, then implement these strategies in a production environment. You’ll make key architectural choices regarding storage formats, computational patterns, and service-level agreements that find a balance between cost, scalability, and consistency.
• Construct critical data pipelines. Design and manage both streaming and batch data workflows that handle high-volume events across various domains such as user activity, transactions, experimentation, marketing performance, and operational telemetry, ensuring strict guarantees for latency, completeness, and precision.
• Create and develop canonical models. Design domain-specific data models that serve as the authoritative source for analytics, machine learning, and real-time applications. Set and uphold modeling standards, clarify ownership boundaries, and establish data contracts among teams.
• Maintain data quality at scale. Develop testing, lineage tracking, monitoring, and reconciliation systems to ensure that every dataset is observable and that every anomaly is actionable.
• Streamline operational workflows. Collaborate with business systems and platform teams to eliminate manual data transfers and ensure data consistency across services, data warehouses, and external systems.
• Facilitate insights and experimentation. Assist analytics, machine learning, and product engineering teams by providing high-quality, low-latency data through semantic layers, APIs, and real-time query systems.
• Possess a minimum of 3+ years of experience as a data or software engineer working with data warehouses, distributed data systems, or event-driven architectures.
• Capable of designing and implementing data models utilizing dimensional, Data Vault, or ledger-style techniques that cater to both analytical and transactional workloads.
• Have extensive hands-on experience with contemporary data tools for ingestion (e.g., Kafka, Debezium), transformation (dbt, Spark, Flink), orchestration (Dagster, Airflow), and observability (Monte Carlo, Great Expectations).
• Experienced in operating cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift, including schema design, cost efficiency, and workload optimization.
• Proficient in writing production-level code in Python or SQL, and integrating with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Enjoy collaborating across various disciplines such as engineering, product, and analytics to convert complex business requirements into streamlined data systems.
• Excel as a self-starter in a dynamic environment, taking ownership of both the technical design and the operational results of your work.
