Data Engineer – Part-Time Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and sustain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that facilitate the movement and transformation of data between systems.

• Integrate data from various sources such as APIs, databases, SaaS platforms, flat files, and spreadsheets into a centralized data warehouse.

• Develop and uphold connectors and reconciliation logic across business systems, including project management, time-tracking, finance, and invoicing tools.

• Model and organize data for analytics, reporting, and downstream applications.

• Implement data validation, quality checks, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms to ensure accuracy and reliability.

• Optimize queries, storage, and pipeline performance for enhanced cost-efficiency and speed.

• Document data flows, schemas, mappings, and transformation logic comprehensively.

• Collaborate with analysts, finance, and engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver clean, usable datasets.

• Support best practices in data governance, security, and privacy.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering, data integration, or a related field.

• Strong SQL proficiency and experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.

• Proficient in Python (or a similar programming language) for data processing and automation tasks.

• Hands-on experience in building ETL/ELT workflows and orchestration tools (e.g., n8n, or similar platforms).

• Experience in integrating REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party SaaS data sources.

• Familiarity with data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar systems.

• Understanding of data modeling, warehousing concepts, and data quality practices.

• Comfortable working with complex, real-world data across various formats (CSV, Excel, JSON, XML).

• Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills in a remote team environment.
