This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Utilize best practices in data engineering to create high-quality, highly available data models that are user-friendly for data analysts and reliable for stakeholders.
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of healthcare operations, monitoring regulatory changes related to the analytics products you oversee.
• Implement quality measures and other metrics on datasets sourced from both internal and external clients.
• Construct scalable ELT pipelines and business intelligence dashboards as required, leveraging automation wherever feasible.
• Establish data quality checks that proactively detect data issues and distributional changes to ensure the accuracy of downstream analytical outputs.
• A Bachelor's degree is required in healthcare, analytics, statistics, finance, business, or a related field; a Master’s degree (MBA, MPH) is preferred.
• Experience with relational databases is essential.
• Strong grasp of database structures, theories, principles, and practices is required.
• Proficient with programming or scripting languages such as Python, Spark, and SQL.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices throughout the entire software development life cycle (SDLC), including documentation, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Familiarity with normalized, dimensional, star schema, and snowflake schema models is important.
• Experience with Databricks is preferred.
• Familiarity with business intelligence exploratory or visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) is preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must.
• Proficiency with Excel is required.

• You have 2+ years of experience in the data and analytics field.
• You have 2+ years of experience utilizing version control to manage code changes.
• You have 2+ years of experience in managed care or a related healthcare data field (preferred).
• You have 1+ years of experience using cloud-based services from AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• This position is fully remote within the U.S.
• The target total compensation pay range for this role is: $105,000 - $200,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location (current or future), experience, and other job-related factors.
