Data Engineer – Intermediate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and execute scalable, secure, and high-performance data architecture on Microsoft Azure.

• Oversee the creation of data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines.

• Collaborate with the Data Architect to manage data lakes and structured storage solutions.

• Integrate data from various source systems utilizing APIs, connectors, and custom scripts.

• Develop and sustain robust data models and semantic layers.

• Construct and refine data workflows using Python and SQL.

• Design secure data services and APIs.

• Monitor and resolve issues in data pipelines and integrations.

• Leverage AI and automation tools to enhance workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience as a Data Engineer or in a comparable position.

• Expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics.

• Proficient in Python and SQL.

• Familiar with data governance best practices.

• Knowledge of cloud-native and hybrid data architecture.

• Capability to monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines effectively.

• Understanding of compliance standards (e.g., FOIP, GDPR) and role-based access controls.

• Experience with APIs and data integration techniques.
