Data Engineer – Implementation, Integration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain Python-driven scripts, utilities, and automation solutions for data integration, transformation, validation, and reporting.

• Architect, develop, and uphold both logical and physical data models to support scalable data integration and reporting.

• Examine the data structures of source systems and convert business requirements into data models and database schemas.

• Construct, enhance, and troubleshoot intricate SQL queries and data transformation workflows.

• Set up and manage ETL processes for both structured and unstructured data sources.

• Assist in the development of data warehouses and enhancements to data architecture and performance.

• Ensure the integrity, quality, and governance of data across both client implementations and internal systems.

• Collaborate with Operations, Workflow, Technical Support, and Account Management teams on client implementations and ongoing data quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, MIS, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 3 years of experience in designing and supporting ETL processes in complex data environments.

• More than 2 years of professional experience in developing solutions using Python.

• Extensive experience with SQL and relational database systems such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or comparable platforms.

• Proven experience in designing and maintaining logical and physical data models.

• Familiarity with data transformation, mapping, and integration processes.

• Experience with ETL tools like Talend Data Integration or similar technologies.

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Preferred: experience in developing Python-based data pipelines and automation solutions.

• Preferred: experience with Snowflake and AWS environments.

• Preferred: experience with dimensional modeling, star schemas, and data warehouse design.

• Preferred: experience with Revenue Cycle Management, EDI, X12, or patient accounting systems.

• Preferred: understanding of claims and billing processes within healthcare settings.

• Preferred: familiarity with modern data architecture and cloud-based analytics platforms.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire.
