This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Acquire engineering proficiency in the Dataiku Platform to support the maintenance and development of system integrations, platform automations, and configurations.
• Gain engineering expertise in Snowflake, focusing on data engineering as well as security and governance features.
• Design and manage Python and SQL data replication and data pipelines for large and complex datasets.
• Diagnose issues in data pipelines, platform automations, and data access systems.
• Assist in testing new features in Dataiku and partner tools to offer internal feedback and assess their value for analytics and data platform integration.
• Work closely with Analytics Engineers to supply data and data models for analytical projects.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
• Proficient technical capabilities in SQL and Python are essential. Familiarity with Dataiku DSS is a significant advantage.
• Previous experience with Snowflake is a plus.
• Experience with DevOps technologies such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins is beneficial.
• Background in constructing data models.
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities; demonstrate confidence in asking questions for clarity.
• Enthusiasm for ongoing learning and teaching to facilitate the understanding of new technologies and implementation strategies.
• Capability to handle multiple projects and meet time constraints concurrently in a high-trust remote setting.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly with senior-level stakeholders.
• Dataiku is seeking a Data Engineer I to become part of our Enterprise Data and Analytics (EDA) team.
• This position involves approximately 50% data operations, support, and troubleshooting, alongside 50% new development.
• Daily data engineering tasks will mainly focus on the data platform constructed with Snowflake, Dataiku, and GitHub.
• Non-technical skills and learning are equally important, as collaboration with engineers from various teams will be essential.
