This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, construct, and sustain scalable data pipelines, as well as ETL/ELT workflows and data models.
• Develop and enhance AWS-native data platforms and services.
• Create ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows for both structured and semi-structured data.
• Design and refine analytical data platforms.
• Integrate enterprise and external data sources across both relational and NoSQL platforms.
• Construct AI-enabled data solutions utilizing Amazon Bedrock, RAG pipelines, and vector search.
• Develop cloud infrastructure, implement Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and event-driven architectures.
• Enhance reliability, scalability, performance, and maintainability through monitoring, troubleshooting, automation, and optimization.
• Support critical analytics and reporting in AWS-based federal data environments that comply with FedRAMP and NIST 800-53 controls.
• Lead the modernization of migrations from legacy platforms to cloud-native AWS services.
• Mentor junior engineers by providing technical guidance, engaging in architecture discussions, and conducting code reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams and effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be a US Citizen; no dual citizenship allowed.
• Capability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Over 4 years of professional experience in data engineering or related fields.
• Practical experience with Databricks, Apache Spark (PySpark), Python, SQL (PostgreSQL), and dbt.
• Proficiency in designing, building, and maintaining AWS-native data platforms utilizing AWS Glue, Amazon EMR, Amazon MWAA (Apache Airflow), AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, Amazon RDS, AWS DMS, and Amazon CloudWatch.
• Experience in developing scalable data pipelines, workflow orchestration, and data integration solutions.
• Familiarity with Apache Iceberg, Parquet, ORC, and Avro.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redshift, Oracle, GraphDB, and NoSQL platforms.
• Experience with performance tuning, system optimization, and enterprise-scale ETL/ELT architectures.
• Java development skills and modern CI/CD practices using Harness.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience in Agile, iterative software development environments.
• Ability to swiftly learn and implement new technologies and domain knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Nice-to-have: experience with regulated environments, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, Splunk, Terraform, and advanced SQL performance tuning.
