This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee the entire lifecycle of data engineering initiatives, from collecting initial requirements with stakeholders to deploying and monitoring in production.

• Create, develop, and sustain intricate data transformations, ensuring optimal data quality and performance through scripting languages such as Python, Airflow, DBT, and databases like Snowflake or comparable Data Lakes.

• Construct, scale, and uphold automated workflows utilizing Apache Airflow to manage complex data dependencies.

• Uphold high engineering standards by implementing CI/CD practices and strict version control using GitHub.

• Develop automated processes for data validation, guaranteeing high standards of data quality, accuracy, and integrity throughout all pipelines.

• Serve as a technical collaborator with the Analytics, Sales, and Marketing teams, creating curated datasets that facilitate strategic decision-making.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and developing complex automation frameworks, queries, and data modeling in SQL, Python, DBT, and Apache Airflow.

• Extensive experience with scripting languages such as Python and cloud databases like Snowflake, Redshift, etc., to enable rapid ingestion and distribution of essential data.

• Expertise in the marketing data domain: practical experience with marketing datasets including campaign performance metrics, lead tracking, funnel stages, opportunity pipelines, and revenue attribution models.

• Proficiency in architecting scalable DBT projects employing advanced modeling techniques, custom macros, intricate Jinja-templated logic, and modular project frameworks to uphold DRY (Don't Repeat Yourself) principles across the organization.

• Advanced knowledge of the DBT lifecycle, including CI/CD processes such as Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD, and source control tools like GitHub.

• Experience in identifying and resolving data management issues to enhance data quality, as well as cleaning, preparing, and optimizing data for ingestion and consumption.

• Demonstrated experience in integrating and managing business data from enterprise applications into Semantic Layers to simplify complex logic from the BI layer for enhanced analytics and insights.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related IT field; or equivalent experience.
