This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide support for a healthcare analytics project that requires extensive SQL engineering skills and practical experience with healthcare data frameworks, quality metrics, and value-based care initiatives.
• Navigate a sophisticated data landscape to construct, enhance, and verify data pipelines that facilitate clinical and operational analytics results.
• Act as a senior technical expert accountable for SQL-driven data engineering, chart validation, and healthcare analytics development within an Exasol setting.
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of healthcare terminology, quality measure frameworks, and claims data to ensure precise, consistent, and well-documented data solutions.
• Design, construct, and refine intricate SQL queries utilizing set-based logic, window functions, and optimization techniques on Exasol or similar MPP/columnar platforms.
• Extract and prepare data from SQL Server sources, including JDBC-based loads.
• Conduct chart validation by reconciling extracts with medical records for sample patients and executing correction loops with clinical or measure subject matter experts (SMEs).
• Employ a practical understanding of healthcare terminology such as LOINC, ICD-10-CM and PCS, CPT and HCPCS, SNOMED CT, and RxNorm.
• Assist in the development of quality measures across eligible populations, including denominators, numerators, exclusions, and value sets like VSAC and NCQA.
• Utilize Exasol's in-database computing features, including Python UDFs, script language containers, and BucketFS model artifacts.
• Uphold rigorous engineering standards, including version control, peer review, documented logic, and repeatable deployment processes.
• Over 5 years of experience in SQL data engineering, with a minimum of 2 years in healthcare provider or payer analytics.
• Extensive, demonstrable SQL proficiency, including set-based logic, window functions, and query optimization on columnar or MPP platforms.
• Experience in extracting and staging data from SQL Server sources, including JDBC-based loads.
• Chart validation experience with reconciling extracts against medical records and collaborating with clinical SMEs during correction loops.
• Practical knowledge of healthcare terminologies, such as LOINC, ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, SNOMED CT, and RxNorm.
• Familiarity with the structure of quality measures, including eligible populations, denominators, numerators, exclusions, and value sets.
• Commitment to disciplined engineering practices, including version control, peer review, documented logic, and repeatable deployment.
