This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines within the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP).
• Build and enhance ETL/ELT processes for data ingestion, transformation, and integration.
• Adopt an Agentic approach to development, ensuring that outputs adhere to development standards.
• Create scalable and reusable data solutions utilizing Databricks and cloud-based data technologies.
• Assist in the migration and modernization from HANA environments to a contemporary data platform.
• Collaborate with Data Architects to develop scalable data models and platform solutions.
• Formulate transformation logic and workflows to meet business and analytics requirements.
• Ensure the quality, integrity, consistency, and performance of data.
• Diagnose data issues, bottlenecks, and performance challenges.
• Engage in code reviews, testing, deployment, and release processes.
• Partner with business and analytics teams to grasp requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Contribute to best practices, documentation, and continuous improvement of the platform.
• A minimum of 3 years of practical Databricks development experience.
• Over 4 years of comprehensive experience in Data Engineering, ETL, or Data Integration.
• Extensive experience in constructing ETL/ELT data pipelines and transformation processes.
• Demonstrated experience handling large and complex datasets.
• Experience in developing data solutions within cloud-based platforms.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, data lake, and lakehouse concepts.
• Experience in Agile delivery environments.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with Agentic frameworks and AI-assisted coding is considered a plus.
• Preferred: experience in supporting large data platform initiatives.
• Preferred: background in significant data migration efforts.
• Preferred: experience with Azure Data Services and Databricks Lakehouse architecture.
• Preferred: knowledge of modern data engineering frameworks and best practices.
• Preferred: exposure to AI, GenAI, Machine Learning, or advanced analytics initiatives.
• Preferred: experience in large enterprise or consulting environments.
• Preferred: understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
• Must have authorization to work in Canada.
