Data Engineer, DBT, SQL

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Create and implement data ingestion, processing, and modeling pipelines utilizing DBT.

• Enhance SQL queries on BigQuery to guarantee optimal data performance and dependability.

• Construct the semantic layer with Looker/LookML to empower business users in utilizing data effectively.

• Streamline workflows through GitLab CI/CD and Docker Compose automation.

• Work collaboratively in an Agile (Scrum) setting alongside technical and business teams to provide high-value data solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree from an engineering institution or a Master’s degree (MSc) in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline.

• 3–7 years of experience in Data Engineering, demonstrating proficiency in DBT and advanced SQL.

• Expertise in DBT for data transformation and orchestration tasks.

• Proven background in BigQuery and advanced SQL functionalities.

• Experience utilizing Looker/LookML for effective data modeling.

• Familiarity with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and DevOps tools, including CI/CD and Docker.

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to suggest suitable solutions.

• Excellent discipline in meeting deadlines while upholding quality standards.

• A collaborative team player committed to sharing knowledge and fostering teamwork.

• Technical curiosity and a desire for continuous innovation.

• Professional proficiency in French, both written and spoken.
