Data Engineer – Azure, Snowflake

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines utilizing Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, SQL, and Python.

• Construct ETL and ELT processes that amalgamate data from enterprise applications, APIs, and third-party systems.

• Create dependable datasets and data models that facilitate reporting, business intelligence, automation, and AI initiatives.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to collect requirements and convert business needs into technical solutions.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance data pipelines to guarantee performance, reliability, and data quality.

• Conduct data validation, testing, and reconciliation to assure accurate and reliable data.

• Document data flows, source-to-target mappings, and technical procedures to aid in ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.

• Work with cross-functional teams to continually enhance the organization’s cloud data platform and engineering practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 - 5+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or data integration.

• Proficient with Snowflake or another contemporary cloud data warehouse, encompassing data modeling, transformations, and performance optimization.

• Practical experience with Azure Data Factory or a comparable cloud-based orchestration tool, including pipeline orchestration and workflow management.

• Familiarity with Azure Data Lake Storage or analogous cloud storage solutions.

• Strong SQL expertise, including crafting complex queries, enhancing performance, and managing large datasets.

• Experience in developing data solutions using Python.

• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and dimensional modeling.

• Experience in data integration via APIs and working with JSON, XML, or related data formats.

• Experience integrating enterprise SaaS applications such as Salesforce, Workday, GA4, Marketo, or similar business systems.
