Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance the SQL Server-based Data Warehouse.

• Design, maintain, and monitor ETL/ELT processes.

• Create and refine dimensional and analytical data models.

• Implement API integrations for transactional data ingestion.

• Develop Python scripts and routines for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

• Ensure the quality, consistency, and reliability of data.

• Monitor data loads, identify failures, and optimize query and process performance.

• Document processes, data flows, and data models.

• Assist BI, Analytics, and Product teams in understanding and utilizing data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in SQL, including queries, joins, CTEs, stored procedures, and basic performance considerations.

• Basic understanding of ETL/ELT concepts.

• Knowledge of data modeling, particularly dimensional modeling.

• Experience with Python for data manipulation, including requests, pandas, and scripting.

• Familiarity with consuming REST APIs.

• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.

• Previous experience with Data Warehouses.

• Familiar with SQL Server.

• Experience with Git for version control.

• Awareness of best practices in data quality.

• Familiarity with BI tools.

• Analytical and organized mindset.

• Willingness to learn and acquire new knowledge.

• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Proactive approach to investigating and resolving data issues.
