This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Engage in a daily meeting with the Data Platform team to assess pipeline status, data ingestion, and any obstacles.
• Design, develop, and sustain ingestion pipelines from source systems to the Bronze layer.
• Clean, standardize, and unify data within the Silver layer.
• Create Gold data sets using dbt for both internal teams and external clients.
• Collaborate with Product, Go-to-Market, and Artificial Intelligence teams to convert business requirements into Gold data products.
• Assist external clients with data access, Embedded BI, and prepared data exports.
• Oversee pipeline SLAs, address production incidents, and maintain catalog metadata and lineage.
• Conduct data quality assessments and support regulatory requests, audits, and incident investigations.
• Implement new ingestion methods, design data sets for AI applications, and enhance the cost and performance of the lakehouse platform.
• Design and manage data models and schemas, as well as ETL processes.
• Collaborate with source owners, data analysts, and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical assistance and continuously enhance data engineering practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of three years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with AWS data services, such as S3, Glue, and Athena.
• Practical experience with dbt for data transformation and modeling.
• Familiarity with data lakehouse and medallion architectures (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
• Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform.
• Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-oriented communication and interpersonal skills.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada; visa sponsorship or work permit transfers are not available.
