Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Analyze data and deliver actionable insights to facilitate informed business decisions.

• Design, construct, and enhance scalable data pipelines and transformation methodologies.

• Develop and standardize data architecture as well as migration frameworks.

• Ensure data quality, reconciliation, and accuracy across various systems.

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to maintain clear communication and alignment.

• Maintain a strong sense of accountability, teamwork, and sound judgment in project delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

• Practical experience with modern transformation tools such as dbt, Informatica, or comparable enterprise platforms.

• Experience with cloud-native data platforms including Snowflake, Azure Synapse, and ideally Fabric.

• Strong knowledge of cross-system data lineage and comprehensive impact analysis, which is critical for complex migrations.

• Proven track record in managing large-scale migration projects, including data profiling, mapping, cleansing, and standardization.

• Capability to design and construct scalable data pipelines for ingestion and transformation within cloud environments.

• Experience in supporting data migration tasks such as testing, reconciliation, and cutover.

• Excellent collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work alongside business stakeholders, data owners, and governance teams for mapping validation and alignment.

• Proficiency in gathering, analyzing, and documenting both technical and business requirements.

• Experience with ERP migrations (e.g., AX 2012 to D365) is highly desirable.
