Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with data scientists, architects, and various stakeholders to comprehend and execute business requirements.

• Offer data engineering support for the development and deployment of AI models, ensuring that data scientists have the necessary data in the required format.

• Execute and enhance data transformations along with ETL/ELT processes, utilizing suitable data engineering tools.

• Engage with multiple databases and data warehousing solutions for efficient data storage and retrieval.

• Establish monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance protocols for data pipelines to guarantee high data quality and optimize performance.

• Contribute to the creation and ongoing upkeep of documentation, such as data dictionaries, data catalogs, data flow diagrams, and process documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Python and SQL programming languages.

• Practical experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, and a good understanding of big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark.

• Experience with both relational databases and NoSQL databases.

• Strong understanding of data structures, data modeling, and database schema design.

• Background in supporting data science workloads and handling both structured and unstructured data.

• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is advantageous.
