Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Development and maintenance of scalable ETL/ELT processes for data collection, transformation, and loading.

• Designing and implementing robust data pipelines for both real-time processing and batch processing.

• Ensuring data quality, integrity, and availability for analytical and operational systems.

• Optimizing SQL query performance and database architecture.

• Automating deployment and monitoring of data infrastructure components.

• Collaborating closely with analytics, development, and business teams to implement data-driven solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of commercial experience in Data Engineering.

• Strong commercial proficiency in Python and Groovy.

• In-depth knowledge of Apache NiFi and practical experience in building and administering complex data processing flows.

• Experience with PostgreSQL: understanding of architecture, query optimization, and database schema design.

• Experience with Apache Kafka and building pipelines for real-time data processing.

• Experience with Apache Airflow: organizing, automating, and monitoring workflows.

• Practical experience using Apache Spark for distributed processing of large datasets.

• Experience with AWS Athena and Amazon S3, particularly using services for interactive data analysis.

• Experience with Apache Iceberg and understanding modern tabular formats for Data Lakes.

• Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and service orchestration.
