Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the database that includes Postgres and Supabase, focusing on schema design, modeling, and performance scaling.

• Guarantee data integrity throughout the process through validation checkpoints, deduplication, and entity resolution.

• Manage the communications layer that connects raw emails and call transcripts to the appropriate individuals and organizations.

• Create ingestion and enrichment pipelines for funding rounds and comprehensive company research at scale.

• Supervise the knowledge graph that encompasses companies, investors, funding rounds, and news as entities and their relationships.

• Establish a cohesive data layer that supports all campaigns and product features.

⛳️ Requirements

• Have experience managing a database of companies, individuals, deals, or the communications among them.

• Proficient in SQL and Python, with hands-on experience in pipeline development.

• Have identified and addressed faulty data before it impacted the business negatively.

• Possess the ability to conceptualize schemas and contracts, designing for future queries.

• Have experience modeling entities and relationships on a large scale.

• Work efficiently with AI tools and take ownership of results.

• The job title is not a barrier; if you have managed CRM data, we want to hear from you.

• Bonus: experience with pgvector and embeddings, a knowledge graph you have designed in a relational database, large-scale funding-round or news ingestion, and entity resolution at scale, or a raw communications storage system you developed independently.
