This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the data infrastructure that is essential to the product, rather than a peripheral system.
• Engage with genuinely challenging, intricate, and high-value insurance data.
• Develop the pipelines and models that underpin all analytical and AI-driven initiatives.
• Construct and manage ingestion pipelines from agency management systems, carriers, and documents.
• Design transformation layers (bronze → silver → fact) and the models that facilitate insights and dashboards.
• Model and optimize data across Postgres and ClickHouse for accuracy, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Specify dataset configurations, KPIs, and reconciliation checks that ensure data integrity.
• Coordinate reliable, observable data jobs and maintain data quality throughout the process.
• Over 2 years of experience in building production data pipelines with proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Solid experience in relational modeling (Postgres) and a comfort level with large analytical datasets.
• Proven ability to transform messy, inconsistent source data into dependable product functionalities.
• Strong sense of ownership and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Bonus points for experience with ClickHouse or other columnar/analytical databases.
• Bonus points for familiarity with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Temporal, Airflow, Dagster).
• Bonus points for exposure to insurance, fintech, or other data-intensive domains.
