Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Finland.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and uphold scalable and dependable data pipelines utilizing Python, PySpark, and SQL.

• Develop and enhance data transformations and ETL processes.

• Work collaboratively with Product Managers, Designers, Leadership, Development teams, and other stakeholders to comprehend data needs and provide solutions.

• Create scalable and easily discoverable SQL data models while maintaining comprehensive documentation.

• Execute data quality checks and monitoring to ensure accuracy and integrity.

• Improve data storage and retrieval for optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.

• Contribute to cluster optimization and maintenance efforts.

• Document data engineering workflows and best practices.

• Continuously enhance team collaboration and development methodologies.

• Establish and achieve annual individual OKRs that align with the objectives of the business unit, team, and company.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in a Data Engineering position.

• Expertise in Python (core + dataframes), emphasizing object-oriented programming and modularity.

• Experience with PySpark for processing large-scale data.

• Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write complex queries and perform quality checks.

• Demonstrated experience in data modeling and query optimization.

• Familiarity with Databricks and DBT is a significant advantage.

• Experience with databases such as ClickHouse is also a plus.

• Fluency in AI concepts (MCP, agents, cross-agents review).

• Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD practices is beneficial.

• Full proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

• Solid professional experience in data engineering, ideally in internal, financial, and operational reporting.
