Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Serve as the interface to the data landscape by integrating REST services and extracting data from diverse sources.

• Engage in modern data engineering by designing and automating data pipelines, as well as processing and transforming data using Apache Spark and Spark Notebooks (PySpark/SparkSQL).

• Conduct data modeling to prepare data for analysis and manage semantic modeling.

• Focus on customer needs by analyzing requirements and collaboratively developing suitable solutions with the team.

• Foster teamwork and community by supporting junior consultants and working students, contributing to community projects, and sharing your expertise, such as through blog posts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree in (business) computer science or equivalent knowledge acquired through other means.

• Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and proficiency in MS Azure and/or AWS and Apache Spark.

• Fluent in German, both in writing and speaking.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.

• Desirable: skills in Data Factory/Data Flows, Synapse Analytics, SAP and/or Python, along with a strong analytical skill set.
