Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable data solutions across contemporary cloud data platforms.

• Create robust data pipelines while managing ETL and ELT processes and optimizing data storage and compute resources.

• Implement architectures that support reliable analytics and AI applications.

• Operate in a client-facing role, converting business requirements into technical solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience working with modern cloud data platforms, including Fivetran, dbt, Snowflake, and Power BI, with hands-on involvement in ingestion, transformation, and analytics layers.

• Minimum of 2 years, preferably 5+ years, of experience delivering data-related projects such as business intelligence, data science enablement, data migrations, data management, and database development using relational databases.

• Strong SQL skills, including the capability to design and maintain complex queries, functions, scripts, stored procedures, views, and triggers to support scalable data solutions and downstream application development.

• Proven expertise in data modeling, including dimensional modeling, Data Vault modeling, and logical and physical database design, with a solid understanding of industry best practices.

• Hands-on experience in designing and optimizing ETL and ELT pipelines, including transformation logic, orchestration, and workflow automation in cloud environments.

• Significant experience with Snowflake as a core platform, along with exposure to at least one additional modern data platform such as Databricks or Azure Synapse.

• Experience with cloud infrastructure and services across Azure, AWS, or GCP, including considerations for security, performance tuning, and cost optimization.

• Proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala for data engineering and automation purposes.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work in client-facing environments and translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
