Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for the ingestion, transformation, and delivery of extensive datasets across various industries.

• Implement and uphold best practices for data privacy and security, ensuring data sovereignty and adherence to regulatory standards.

• Collaborate closely with AI/ML engineers, Data Scientists, and Platform engineers to facilitate advanced analytics and AI functionalities while ensuring strict data governance.

• Enhance data platforms and systems for optimal performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Construct tools and frameworks for secure, privacy-conscientious data processing and orchestration.

• Produce and maintain documentation, data models, and technical workflows.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams to introduce new data-driven product features and solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and constructing ETL pipelines and data infrastructure (cloud, hybrid, and/or on-premise).

• Strong expertise in Python, SQL, and contemporary data engineering toolsets (e.g., Apache Spark, Kafka).

• Comprehensive understanding of data security, privacy frameworks, and regulatory compliance such as GDPR, CCPA, or equivalent.

• Experience with privacy-first, AI-native, or data sovereignty-centered platforms is an advantage.

• Familiarity with industry-specific data challenges (CPG, financial services, energy, supply chain, etc.) is beneficial.

• Exceptional analytical and communication skills; proactive and detail-oriented.
