Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and implement solutions driven by data on GCP, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Looker/BI.

• Create ETL scripts utilizing SQL and Python to extract, cleanse, and transform both structured and unstructured data from ERP, procurement, logistics, and facility management systems.

• Develop and enhance data pipelines for the ingestion, transformation, and loading into enterprise data lakes and warehouses.

• Construct and expand comprehensive data and BI solutions, covering extraction, storage, transformation, and visualization layers.

• Collaborate with supply chain, real estate, and AI/ML teams to deliver pipelines for AI solutions (e.g., RAG ingestion, Copilot integration, multi-agent workflows).

• Ensure data governance, lineage, and compliance across datasets related to the supply chain.

• Continuously improve query performance, ETL processes, and the reliability of pipelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced skills in SQL (including complex queries and optimization) and Python (data engineering, scripting, APIs).

• Proven experience in developing ETL/ELT pipelines that operate on both structured and unstructured data sources.

• Understanding of enterprise data warehouse and data lake architectures.

• Familiarity with data pipelines for AI/ML (including vector DB ingestion, embeddings, RAG pipelines, copilots, and agents).

• Knowledge of supply chain or data center operations data is a significant advantage.

• Bonus: experience in ML Engineering, data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI), and MLOps practices.

• Strong practical experience with GCP services: BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Looker/BI (or similar, preferred).
