This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Oversee the design, development, and enhancement of data pipelines utilizing Databricks (including Delta Live Tables / Lakeflow) on Azure.
• Transition and rework legacy stored procedures and extensive MSSQL processes into contemporary, governed Databricks solutions.
• Contribute to initiatives aimed at modernizing the data platform, encompassing medallion architecture, data quality, and governance practices.
• Partner with the client’s team and our Analytics Engineers to produce high-quality, production-ready data assets.
• Operate within a client-facing consulting environment: collect requirements, offer recommendations, and assertively push back when necessary to ensure optimal technical outcomes.
• Leverage a wide array of data engineering skills (pipelining, orchestration, cloud infrastructure) while enhancing your expertise in the modern data stack.
• More than 5 years of experience
• Programming Languages: Proficient in Python, Java, Scala, or Golang
• Cloud Providers: Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure (Azure is preferred)
• Data Warehousing: Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, Greenplum, Oracle, DB2, or similar (Experience with Snowflake or Databricks is required)
• Data Pipelining Tools: Knowledge of Snowplow, Fivetran, dbt, Talend
• Relational Databases: Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft, or similar
• NoSQL Databases: Proficient in MongoDB (Atlas), Cassandra, DynamoDB, or similar
• Streaming Technologies: Knowledge of Kinesis, Kafka, Google PubSub, or similar
• Containers & Container Orchestration: Experience with Docker & Kubernetes
• Workflow Orchestration: Familiarity with Airflow, Cadence Workflow
• Operating Systems: Proficient in Linux, MacOS
• Version Control: Experience with Git
• Big Data stack: Knowledge of Spark, EMR, Hadoop, Hive, Presto
• Fluent in English
• Exceptional client-facing communication skills
• Comfortable working within a distributed team
