This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vermont.
• Design, construct, maintain, and provide support for dependable, production-quality data pipelines.
• Create reusable modules, frameworks, and components for scalable and sustainable data solutions.
• Comprehend, sustain, and securely modernize legacy data systems and infrastructure.
• Utilize agentic AI tools to enhance work efficiency, quality, and effectiveness.
• Generate clear and robust documentation to ensure maintainability, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
• Adhere to engineering standards and best practices with a focus on data privacy, security, consistency, and compliance.
• Estimate and project the infrastructure and operational expenses related to data systems.
• Collaborate with technical project managers, software developers, data scientists, DevOps engineers, privacy and security teams, and business development teams.
• Convey technical concepts, findings, trade-offs, and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Participate in technical discovery and solution design.
• Mentor and assist technical staff in data infrastructure and engineering initiatives.
• Senior-level experience is required.
• Expertise in pipeline architecture, development, deployment, and maintenance.
• Proficient in data modeling, data warehousing, and pipeline development.
• Strong SQL skills are essential.
• Experience in production programming and software development; proficiency in Python or Go is preferred.
• Strong capability with containerized deployments in a cloud environment.
• Ability to gather requirements, conduct root cause analysis, and present deliverables to non-technical stakeholders.
• Capacity to work independently while applying established problem-solving practices and methodologies.
• Experience with ETL tools such as dbt.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
• Experience integrating with BI/analytics platforms such as Apache Superset.
• Background in data analysis or quantitative research.
• Proven track record of deploying agentic AI workflows for engineering challenges.
• Experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining real or near-real-time streaming or CDC solutions.
• Experience in monitoring the health of deployed pipelines, including alerts and actionable data quality checks.
• A minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience is necessary.
• Must be an American citizen or lawful permanent resident with a Green Card.
