Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create effective schemas for analytical queries while ensuring optimal performance and data integrity;

• Implement frameworks that uphold data governance and compliance, guaranteeing data quality, integrity, and security;

• Work closely with stakeholders to comprehend business requirements and convert them into technical solutions;

• Enhance data pipelines to expedite reporting and amalgamate various sources to derive strategic insights;

• Connect different services and APIs to develop comprehensive data solutions;

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English (C1/C2);

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related discipline;

• Demonstrated experience in constructing and maintaining data pipelines using Python;

• Advanced SQL skills (including joins, window functions, CTEs, aggregations, and query optimization);

• In-depth understanding of Data Warehouse principles and dimensional modeling (fact/dimension);

• Experience with various data formats (JSON, CSV, Avro, Parquet, XML) and integrating different sources (APIs, databases, files, streams);

• Knowledge of data quality practices, lineage, governance, automated testing, and performance monitoring;

• Familiarity with data discovery and cataloging tools (such as Amundsen or similar);

• Understanding of data modeling for reports and dashboards (like Power BI or similar);

• Proficient in using DBT (Data Build Tool);

• Experience with Apache Airflow or alternative orchestration frameworks.
