This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Take full responsibility for the data stack from start to finish: ingestion → transformation → modeling → serving → monitoring
• Develop and sustain ETL/ELT pipelines utilizing APIs, webhooks, and operational systems
• Create robust data models that can adapt to changing and imperfect source systems
• Establish monitoring and alerting mechanisms for data quality, freshness, and pipeline failures
• Ensure high reliability and visibility throughout the data layer
• Drive enhancements, migrations, and infrastructure-related decisions
• Work collaboratively with engineering leadership on architectural matters, including contemporary data access patterns
• Extensive experience in building and managing production-grade data systems
• Strong foundational knowledge in data modeling and pipeline architecture
• Capability to work independently and take charge of a specific domain
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy
• Excellent communication skills in asynchronous, distributed settings
• Comfortable navigating fast-paced and uncertain environments
• Nice to Have: Experience in developing internal tools or reusable data systems
• Familiarity with modern or experimental data patterns (e.g., real-time or agent-driven data workflows)
• Interest in closely collaborating with product and infrastructure layers
• Significant ownership and autonomy over the data domain
