This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and workflows to gather, cleanse, and transform data from diverse sources into accessible formats.
• Ensure the integrity, quality, and accuracy of data throughout the entire data processing lifecycle.
• Analyze and interpret healthcare claims data and related datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and insights.
• Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to effectively communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Design, develop, and maintain databases, data models, and schemas for the efficient storage and retrieval of data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including health policy experts, analysts, and healthcare stakeholders, to comprehend business requirements and translate them into data solutions.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in data analysis, engineering, and visualization.
• Identify opportunities to enhance data infrastructure, processes, and analytics capabilities.
• In-depth knowledge of health data, multi-payer databases, public healthcare payers, claims processing, and claims data analytics.
• Understanding of US healthcare policy, trends, and factors such as eligibility, utilization, cost, and equity.
• Familiarity with the role of state government in healthcare.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization using tools such as SQL, Python, R, Excel, or similar.
• Expertise in data profiling, manipulation, and transformation utilizing tools like Pandas, SQL, or similar.
• Mastery of data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Knowledge of data modeling, database management, and cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Strong grasp of statistical analysis, data mining, and machine learning concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly and concisely.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in healthcare administration, data science, statistics, or equivalent work experience is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in SQL.
• 5+ years of experience as a data analyst in the healthcare sector, ideally in claims.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
