Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with stakeholders and decision-makers to prioritize, design, and fulfill data analytics requirements.

• Identify key performance indicators that drive business growth and performance, defining them alongside business teams.

• Design and construct data products throughout the data stack, including pipelines, data models, and analyses.

• Document analytics best practices and assist in data discoverability, governance, and accuracy.

• Foster a self-service data culture by creating user-friendly analytics products and educating both technical and non-technical users.

• Communicate project status, risks, and completions to stakeholders.

• Optimize data pipelines on the Google Cloud Platform and enhance the ingestion of complex data sources.

• Provide support to data scientists, data analysts, and business analysts across the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience within BI or Analytics teams.

• Familiarity with cloud data warehouse technologies; experience with BigQuery is a plus.

• Practical experience in building and managing data transformations; dbt experience is a plus.

• Ability to create functional, user-friendly data products such as data models and pipelines for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience with data visualization tools like Looker, Tableau, or Mode.

• Advanced SQL proficiency, including the ability to write complex, efficient, and logical SQL for data modeling.

• Functional understanding of financial, sales, or other essential business metrics.

• Skill in managing professional relationships among diverse stakeholders.

• Capability to identify and prioritize multiple requirements while managing expectations.

• A collaborative mindset and a readiness to contribute across the entire data stack.
