This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain scalable frameworks for data and file ingestion.

• Collaborate with cross-functional value stream teams, analysts, and business stakeholders to comprehend and refine data requirements, translating them into technical solutions.

• Enhance data ingestion frameworks for improved performance and reliability.

• Adhere to best practices in data governance and security.

• Diagnose issues related to data integrity and performance.

• Engage in code reviews and uphold coding standards.

• Contribute to architectural decisions and design discussions.

• Participate in initiatives aimed at addressing core data application challenges, including opportunities for process automation.

• Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in data engineering, applying them to enhance the data framework.

• Collaborate with team members on development best practices and data application challenges.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field such as Information Systems, Mathematics, or Software Engineering, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

• 2 to 4 years of software development experience, ideally in a data-centric field.

• Proficiency in ETL development and design using Python and Big Data technologies, including Hadoop and Spark.

• SQL expertise and experience with recognized RDBMS databases such as Aurora, MySQL, Postgres, or Redshift.

• Familiarity with the AWS platform.

• Understanding of dimensional models and ER designs.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

• Exposure to data warehouse principles.

• Capability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and colleagues, remain composed in stressful situations, independently troubleshoot program errors across various technologies, and create user-friendly explanations of complex technical functionalities.
