This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Assist the Credit Union and Data & Analytics teams by providing efficient, dynamic, and automated data solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain frameworks for importing and transforming data into tables that facilitate analysts' strategic insights.
• Create, schedule, and initiate data pipelines, ETL processes, and automated validation/alert systems.
• Leverage AI LLM models to research, design, and uphold ETL data routines whenever feasible.
• Construct, sustain, and document data solution frameworks, which include API connections, database tables, and CSV extracts flowing into the data warehouse.
• Utilize Snowflake tools such as Snowpipe, SnowSQL, Openflow, Native SDK for Connectors, and CLI.
• Employ Microsoft Azure Data Factory for connecting to network sources and assess alternative tools.
• Collaborate with business users, programming and technology teams, data analysts, and project management teams to define requirements and implement solutions in an agile environment.
• Establish and maintain automated ETL frameworks within Snowflake and other ETL tools according to business transformation rules.
• Utilize version control features within ETL tools to manage and track revisions in data automation.
• Keep data warehouse configuration documentation up to date with business partners.
• Use Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, and Python to develop data automations and reports.
• Apply Python scripts for custom data transformations.
• Validate and cleanse data while implementing alert automations using established quality assurance checks.
• Ensure timely delivery of data for analysts and custom extracts to third-party systems.
• Diagnose and resolve data-related issues.
• Provide support across all areas of the credit union and carry out other assigned responsibilities.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.
• 2 to 4 years of experience writing SQL, utilizing ETL transformation tools, and employing Python for data transformation.
• Proficiency in data importing from APIs, files, and other sources, along with skills in transformation, pipelining, data extraction, and some data mining.
• Experience in financial institutions is preferred.
• Familiarity with Snowflake and Azure Data Factory is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of related experience in a financial institution.
