This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with various teams within the organization and external partners to identify data requirements and deliver dependable pipelines and models that address real-world challenges.
• Develop and sustain scalable ingestion and egress pipelines using Airflow and dbt Cloud, ensuring high-quality and automated data flows across cloud environments.
• Establish unit tests and monitoring mechanisms to ensure data integrity and reproducibility.
• Model, transform, and structure healthcare datasets into accessible formats that support data science models and other reporting marts.
• Improve and scale data models using SQL and dbt, ensuring accuracy and flexibility for new partnerships.
• Write Python code for Apache Airflow DAGs, components, and utilities that orchestrate and monitor data workflows. Create intricate pipelines that facilitate flexible scheduling, conditional logic, and seamless integration across multiple data sources.
• A minimum of 2 years in data engineering or analytics engineering with a demonstrated ability to construct pipelines and scalable workflows.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for querying large and complex datasets.
• Expertise in Python for data engineering tasks, including transformations, APIs, and automation.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses and storage solutions (GCP preferred: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Composer; AWS/Azure equivalents are acceptable).
• Practical experience with dbt or similar data modeling tools.
• Ability to work effectively in collaborative development/staging/production environments, partnering with Product and Tech teams to safely test, launch, and anticipate the impact of new changes.
• A curious mindset about operational workflows and a desire to collaborate with non-technical teams, ensuring that data and reporting align with actual business operations. You're not just a spec-taker; you're an integral part of the solution.
