Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and deploy resilient data platforms, encompassing data lakehouses and warehouses, while automating their operations with tools such as Azure DevOps, Terraform, and CloudFormation.

• Implement and enhance sophisticated ETL/ELT data pipelines and orchestrate intricate data tasks utilizing platforms like Databricks notebooks and dbt.

• Create and sustain data models, possibly employing data virtualization tools like Cube.

• Utilize managed and serverless cloud solutions to construct efficient and scalable cloud-native application solutions and data pipelines.

• Apply best practices for data security and guarantee compliance with governance standards.

• Develop high-performance data pipelines and integrate them with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, and Power BI.

• Provide leadership in incorporating software development best practices, including CI/CD and managing Infrastructure as Code.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in the Data Engineering field.

• Advanced skills in Python and SQL (TypeScript/JavaScript/Java knowledge is a bonus).

• Demonstrated experience in ETL/ELT implementation and data modeling for data warehouses and lakehouses.

• Familiarity with and experience in the Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers).

• Proficiency in advanced DevOps, CI/CD practices, and strong Linux system administration capabilities.

• Expertise in 2 to 3 major cloud and data platforms (such as Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks, and Fabric).
