This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +4 more countries.
• Develop and sustain scalable data models, including 3NF, dimensional, and Data Vault architectures, across both data warehouses and lakes.
• Construct, enhance, and oversee batch and real-time ETL/ELT pipelines along with automation workflows.
• Collaborate with BI and analytics teams to refine complex SQL queries, ensuring swift and dependable reporting.
• Implement data governance, lineage, and Master Data Management (Customer 360) strategies to elevate data quality and integrity.
• Recognize and resolve data integration issues between internal and external sources.
• Relay updates, priorities, and trade-offs to both engineering and business stakeholders.
• Engage daily with the client's data and engineering teams.
• Report to the Data/Engineering Lead.
• Deliver outcomes in alignment with the agreed-upon scope and deliverables.
• Ensure a secure working environment and adhere to necessary security protocols.
• 3–4 years of professional experience in Data Engineering.
• Proven ability to design and enhance complex data models and pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery or Snowflake, as well as the AWS ecosystem or closely related alternatives.
• Strong proficiency in written and verbal English communication (B1+).
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within distributed, cross-functional teams.
• Advanced skills in SQL, including optimization of complex queries, and proficiency in Python.
• Must have a personal laptop and basic equipment.
• Reliable internet connectivity and a secure working environment are essential.
• Ability to adhere to security protocols, including two-factor authentication.
• Experience in HRTech, fintech, or insurance sectors is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Background in startup or scale-up environments is beneficial but not required.
• Familiarity with BI and data visualization tools such as Looker or Superset is a plus but not essential.
• Direct contracting, invoicing/payroll, payments, and administrative support managed by Apricot.
• Scheduled check-ins at the end of month 1 and month 3.
