This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Engage in the comprehensive data pipeline lifecycle, concentrating on the development of data lakes, data warehouses, and associated processes.
• Collaborate with senior team members on design and code evaluations.
• Produce clean code for the creation of data pipelines and necessary infrastructure as code.
• Work closely with internal teams to grasp requirements and effectively execute assigned duties.
• Oversee and troubleshoot performance, scalability, and security issues, implementing enhancements as required.
• Take part in the assessment of new technologies and tools that can enhance our system's performance.
• Collect technical and design requirements from both internal and external stakeholders.
• Communicate efficiently with both technical and non-technical team members to ensure project alignment and successful execution.
• Engage in cross-functional initiatives that foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and ongoing improvement.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
• Requires 5 years of relevant experience in cloud-native data offerings and data lakes within a cloud setting.
• Proficient with relational databases (Postgres, SQL Server) and principles of data modeling.
• Extensive understanding of the complete data engineering process (design, development, deployment).
• Familiarity with release management processes and the deployment of data solutions via Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Proficient in SQL (SQL Server, Postgres) and Python.
• Recognize opportunities for process enhancements and efficiencies in solutions.
• Strong teamwork abilities with a problem-solving mindset and a willingness to explore various approaches.
• Excellent analytical and time management capabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience in providing technical insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and product teams.
• Familiarity with legacy data warehouses and ETL pipelines.
• Knowledgeable in data architecture and data modeling for data warehousing and analytical objectives.
• Capable of participating in an on-call rotation.
