This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist the Account Operations Director in strategizing and implementing transitions from pre-mobilization to operational handover.
• Create and uphold transition project plans that encompass scope, schedule, resources, milestones, dependencies, risks, action items, and deliverables.
• Facilitate transition activities across various departments including operations, HR, recruiting, finance, safety, training, procurement, engineering, compliance, vendors, and client stakeholders.
• Update the transition checklist to ensure technical, operational, safety, staffing, training, documentation, and handoff requirements are assigned, monitored, and fulfilled.
• Assist in go-live planning, readiness assessments, formal handover processes, transition closure, and capturing lessons learned.
• Manage daily tracking of deliverables, due dates, dependencies, open issues, decisions, and necessary leadership actions.
• Compile project status reports, dashboards, executive summaries, meeting materials, and updates for clients.
• Keep the milestone tracker, risk register, issue log, action item tracker, readiness checklist, and transition calendar up to date.
• Record meeting notes, decisions, risks, blockers, and follow-up actions with clear ownership and due dates.
• Provide timely insights to leadership regarding project status, upcoming milestones, scheduling risks, and required decisions.
• Monitor readiness for staffing, onboarding, training, site access, vendor mobilization, safety requirements, CMMS setup, reporting, and procedure development.
• Collaborate with site leadership and subject matter experts to pinpoint operational gaps that may impact go-live readiness.
• Act as a communication bridge among the transition team, Account Operations Director, site leaders, client representatives, vendors, and internal departments.
• Organize transition meetings, workstream updates, stand-ups, readiness reviews, and follow-up discussions.
• Clearly communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders; simplify complex issues into actionable decisions.
• Support governance routines, audit preparedness, quality reviews, executive assessments, and ongoing improvements of playbooks and templates.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in data center operations, critical facilities, building engineering, facilities maintenance, project coordination, transition management, or related mission-critical environments.
• Previous experience as a data center building engineer, critical facilities technician, operations engineer, facilities engineer, project coordinator, or similar role is highly preferred.
• Excellent project management, scheduling, tracking, organization, and follow-through capabilities.
• Capacity to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, priorities, stakeholders, and dependencies simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including status reports, meeting notes, trackers, dashboards, and executive updates.
• Familiarity with data center critical infrastructure systems, such as electrical distribution, UPS systems, generators, cooling systems, controls/BMS, fire/life safety, and maintenance processes.
• Ability to work effectively with operations leaders, technicians, clients, vendors, HR, finance, safety, engineering, procurement, and executives.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools like Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Smartsheet, SharePoint, MS Project, Gantt charts, and action trackers.
