This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Accountable for the planning, execution, and optimization of field and project operations pertaining to data center deployment services across various project sites and clients.
• Supervise workforce management, project implementation, operational readiness, client coordination, safety compliance, quality performance, and continuous improvement efforts in mission-critical environments.
• Lead field operations encompassing rack and stack deployments, structured cabling, low voltage and electrical installations, equipment deployment, and infrastructure construction activities.
• Ensure projects are executed safely, within the scheduled time frame, budget, and align with both customer and company standards.
• Oversee field teams, deployment leaders, subcontractor coordination, and vendor activities to facilitate successful project execution.
• Create and maintain deployment standards, operational playbooks, workflows, installation techniques, and best practices to enhance scalable field operations.
• Monitor and manage operational KPIs, labor costs, productivity metrics, resource utilization, and project financial outcomes.
• Travel frequently to job sites, which may entail overnight stays.
• Between eight to twelve years of experience in data center construction, deployment, commissioning, telecommunications, electrical, or mission-critical sectors.
• Proven experience in managing field operations, deployment teams, or multi-site projects.
• Background in supporting rack and stack, structured cabling, electrical infrastructure, low voltage systems, fiber installations, mechanical systems, or mission-critical infrastructure initiatives.
• Experience in enterprise, colocation, hyperscale, telecom, modular, or edge data center settings.
• Ability to manage multiple field crews and subcontractors across concurrent projects.
• Experience in operational planning, workforce forecasting, and resource management.
• An associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited four-year college or university, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in computer usage and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, mission-critical environments, and deployment operations.
• Knowledgeable in rack and stack deployments, structured cabling systems, electrical infrastructure, low voltage systems, fiber backbone installations, grounding, and power distribution systems.
• Familiar with operational controls, change management, contingency planning, and live environment work practices.
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout procedures, PPE requirements, and data center safety standards.
• Capability to read and interpret construction drawings, floor plans, one-line diagrams, schedules, and project documentation.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Procore, Smartsheet, Excel, JIRA, ServiceNow, Autodesk, and other related operational management tools.
• Understanding of commissioning coordination, turnover readiness, QA processes, and installation quality standards.
• Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) concepts.
