Data Center Business Development – National Account Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Assess the data center market to identify suitable HVAC business prospects.

• Assist in developing solutions, offerings, and programs that promote growth in vertical markets.

• Collaborate with Company Sales offices and Rep organizations to enhance sales efforts with national account clients.

• Actively oversee the sales pipeline in Salesforce and engage in scheduled pipeline reviews with the vertical market team.

• Work to identify and evaluate potential new National Accounts using the established criteria detailed in the National Accounts Guidebook, providing recommendations on whether to pursue or forgo opportunities.

• Utilize the National Accounts Authorized REP program, including routine team reviews and compliance with expectations.

• Suggest ongoing enhancements to the program.

• Support the organization, broader teams, and business development divisions by training, mentoring, and coaching the field on delivering vertical market offerings and solutions.

• Identify, participate in, and promote the Daikin brand at significant marketing events such as trade shows and networking functions.

• Collaborate closely with marketing to maximize resources and pursue deeper involvement, including speaking engagements and publishing opportunities.

• Engage with leaders of major accounts, providing high-level support and focusing on customer needs while creating strategic initiatives for sales growth opportunities.

• Monitor competitors' strategies to ensure the company's initiatives remain competitive.

• Collaborate with the Director of National Accounts, Divisional Vice Presidents, and Regional General Managers to establish the company's strategic focus regarding growth and new business prospects for global and national accounts.

• Coordinate and manage all activities related to major global/national accounts business, including meetings, visits, legal matters, and more.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical, Scientific, or Engineering field.

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in HVAC sales.

• Experience in Data Centers is a plus.

• Familiarity with the HVAC Wholesale Distribution industry (value propositions, competitors, customers) and knowledge of HVAC service contractor industry is highly desirable.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong customer service, organizational, and analytical abilities.
