Data Architect – Databricks, Azure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Provide technical leadership and direction for a team of infrastructure and data engineers.

• Strategically develop and enhance a forward-thinking Data Mesh architecture.

• Oversee the scaling of the data platform while ensuring structural integrity within the cloud ecosystem.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate data migrations to a modern Lakehouse environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated professional experience as a Lead Data Architect or Senior Data Engineer at a managerial or leadership level.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Databricks in an Azure cloud setting.

• Proven ability to lead technical teams and establish architectural best practices.

• Strong expertise in designing and evolving decentralized data architectures, particularly Data Mesh and Lakehouse.

• Residency or work authorization in the EU, EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland.
