Data Architect – Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Accountable for defining and enhancing data and artificial intelligence solution architectures, ensuring compliance with corporate standards, scalability, security, and integration within the company’s technology ecosystem. Engages in strategic projects, modernization initiatives, and comprehensive solution design.

• Establish service-oriented architectures, microservices, and modular monoliths.

• Define and uphold the enterprise data architecture, taking into account multicloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) as well as on-premises deployments.

• Develop data models for Analytics products (Lakehouse) and for operational purposes (SQL/NoSQL).

• Implement patterns such as event-driven, hexagonal, DDD, CQRS, and clean architecture.

• Create solutions for internal and external Data and AI platforms with an emphasis on security, versioning, documentation, and reusability.

• Design scalable and efficient data pipelines utilizing tools like Databricks, Delta Lake, Spark, and Airflow.

• Guarantee scalability, high availability, and fault tolerance.

• Facilitate integration across diverse sources (SAS, Talend, Alteryx, Teradata, Hadoop).

• Integrate multicloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and on-premises solutions.

• Assist squads and partners in strategic initiatives.

• Contribute to the advancement of the CI/CD pipeline and DevOps/DevSecOps practices applied to data.

• Engage in technical and governance forums, sharing best practices.

• Lead projects for high-performance multidisciplinary teams, acting as a key partner in understanding business requirements and enabling their strategies via software initiatives.

• Collaborate with business units, IT, and vendors to clarify scopes and schedules, address architectural designs, and plan and monitor development, testing, infrastructure, and licensing deliveries.

• Ensure the establishment of implementation and configuration plans and adherence to delivery schedules defined for IT solution deployments and/or system modifications and/or new system functionalities.

• Share knowledge on applicable technologies and programming languages utilized in systems development.

• Work with other company departments to identify and address system challenges and needs through consistent feedback and sharing of best practices with teams and support areas.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in projects related to AI, machine learning, and big data.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related disciplines.

• Preferred certifications: Azure Data Architect, Databricks Certified Data Engineer, AWS Data Analytics, IU Data Security Fabric.

• Proficiency in tools such as Terraform, Git, Docker, Kubernetes.

• Understanding of LGPD, GDPR, and information security practices.

• Skills in technical documentation, communication with business areas, and technical leadership.

• Demonstrated experience in data architecture for analytical and operational environments.

• Experience in projects utilizing Databricks, Delta Lake, Spark, Azure Data Factory, and Synapse.

• Experience with ETL/ELT and data integration tools (SAS, Talend, Alteryx).

• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).

• Involvement in data migration and modernization of legacy platforms.

• Experience with data modeling, taxonomies, glossaries, and metadata.
