This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi.
• Participate in and represent the organization in a client-facing Data Governance Committee, offering recommendations and guiding decisions aligned with Client, State, and Federal data governance policies, practices, and standards pertinent to data management.
• Ensure the highest quality and security of data within program engagement by adhering to established processes and procedures for access controls, monitoring data activities, and safeguarding data integrity, including compliance for the preservation and protection of Protected Health Information (PHI) and Protected Identification Information (PII).
• Collaborate with stakeholders in the design, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of data services.
• Assist the Client in resolving data-related challenges by managing data corruption or aligning data across program areas.
• Maintain internally defined data quality reporting metrics, assess and identify issues or corrections, and coordinate the implementation of data management best practices.
• Identify data assets, lineage, and business rules within data domains to ensure continuity of data elements and mitigate data conflicts.
• Oversee data design, creation, and management of database architecture and data repositories.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date content within the data management plan, including all diagrams, workflows, and other data-related documentation.
• Conduct and adhere to data reviews and audits to ensure compliance with current standards, policies, and the design of database architecture and repositories.
• Ensure that all documentation and processes are followed, including obtaining Architectural Board approvals and other necessary authorizations for any changes to data architecture.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience managing Medicaid or Major Health Care Payer data projects.
• At least 5 years of experience utilizing visualization and analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Excel, etc.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in a Data Manager role (managing datacenter or infrastructure-type projects).
• At least 6 years of experience with the implementation and operations of technology deployments relevant to the proposed solution.
• Hands-on experience with Legacy / Traditional Tools: ERwin (CA ERwin), ER/Studio, SAP PowerDesigner, IBM InfoSphere Data Architect.
• Practical experience with Modern / Cloud & Collaborative Tools: SQLDBM, ER/Studio Team Server, Hackolade (NoSQL/Big Data modeling), dbt (data transformation & modeling), Azure Synapse / Fabric modeling capabilities, AWS Glue Data Catalog (schema modeling), Google BigQuery modeling approaches.
