This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Contribute to the architectural vision for Fortrea’s data architecture, data integration, and master data management strategies.
• Design and execute essential ETL workflows for Fortrea’s information integration and reporting infrastructure.
• Engage in the design and development of high-performing, scalable, and maintainable data repositories for analytical purposes.
• Involve yourself in the complete development cycle from product inception, research, and prototyping to production release.
• Significantly influence company performance by delivering high-quality, scalable data products.
• Oversee external resources.
• Perform all other duties as required or assigned.
• BSc/MSc in computer science, information systems, life sciences, or a related field.
• Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience as a substitute for educational qualifications.
• Over 8 years of experience in designing ETL processes, developing data transfer and synchronization schemes, and implementing intricate ETL workflows.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and Databricks is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of operational and dimensional database models, including logical and physical design using SQL Server, Oracle, or similar technologies.
• Expertise in delivering data to staging environments, data warehouses, and data marts.
• Experience with master data management methodologies, tools, and design patterns.
• Proficient in database programming with T-SQL, PL/SQL, or similar languages.
• Skilled in query performance tuning.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership and lead projects with minimal supervision.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with strong written and verbal presentation abilities.
• Preferred: Experience in pharmaceutical R&D, clinical development, and/or healthcare IT, along with knowledge of standard medical terminologies, coding systems, and data standards.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases, such as Solr, MongoDB, CouchDB, or others.
• Knowledge of Hadoop or other distributed data stores and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of semantic web technologies, including OWL and RDF.
