Data Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design scalable, secure, and highly available architectures for enterprise data.

• Architect, implement, and enhance PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and Graph databases.

• Spearhead initiatives for database modernization, migration, and transformation across enterprise platforms.

• Develop and oversee cloud-native data platforms utilizing Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Databricks, along with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Define enterprise data models, governance frameworks, security standards, and practices for data lifecycle management.

• Enhance database performance, scalability, replication, backup, disaster recovery, and ensure high availability.

• Design data platforms that support AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Large Language Model workloads.

• Collaborate effectively with Engineering, Product, Data Science, and DevOps teams.

• Establish best practices for data architecture, database design, performance optimization, and security measures.

• Ensure adherence to enterprise data governance, regulatory, and security standards.

• Assess emerging data technologies and propose enhancements to the organization's data ecosystem.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

• Over 10 years of experience in Data Architecture, Database Engineering, or related positions.

• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and Graph databases.

• Practical experience with Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Databricks, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Demonstrated experience in enterprise-scale database migration, modernization, architecture design, and performance tuning.

• Comprehensive knowledge of data modeling, distributed database systems, governance, security, compliance, and data lifecycle management.

• Experience in building data platforms that support AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Large Language Model (LLM) applications is highly desirable.

• Solid understanding of cloud-native architecture, data warehousing, and big data technologies.

• Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Certifications in cloud, database, or data architecture are a valuable addition.
