📋 Description

• Assist in data and AI governance initiatives by aiding clients in establishing effective governance frameworks, defining roles, decision-making rights, and operational rhythms.

• Create essential governance documents including policies, standards, playbooks, RACI matrices, intake workflows, and materials for governance committees.

• Conduct assessments and analyze the current state of the data lifecycle, data quality, metadata, privacy, and access controls, transforming findings into actionable recommendations and implementation plans.

• Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and security teams to ensure governance requirements are integrated into delivery models (data products, lakehouse/warehouse, BI publishing, and AI solution delivery).

• Aid in the establishment of data/AI governance and responsible practices, including the management of use case intake, risk categorization, human-in-the-loop expectations (for AI), model documentation, and ongoing monitoring strategies.

• Enhance stakeholder engagement by preparing client-ready materials, facilitating workshops, and documenting decisions and action items.

• Contribute to the quality of delivery and team dynamics by participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, documentation, and status updates.

• Lead governance workstreams and small delivery teams to create and execute actionable and sustainable data/AI governance programs.

• Manage client relationships within your workstream by setting expectations, leading executive discussions, and fostering alignment among business, IT, privacy, security, and legal stakeholders.

• Design and implement governance operating models that include council structures, data stewardship frameworks, decision escalation processes, and integrated controls across data, analytics, and AI.

• Develop implementation roadmaps that align strategy with execution, encompassing sequencing, dependency management, change management, and measurable adoption outcomes.

• Establish AI governance and responsible AI guidelines, such as maintaining a model and use case inventory, risk management processes, review boards, documentation standards, third-party oversight, and ongoing compliance reporting.

• Implement tactical and operational governance operations and controls that support the realization of program and product-level governance.

• Convert governance requirements into scalable enablement tools, including templates, playbooks, training, and communications that enhance adoption and minimize operational friction.

• Support growth initiatives and business pursuits by aiding in proposal development, scoping, staffing strategies, and creating reusable resources and accelerators.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Information Systems, Public Policy, Business, Data/Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 3 years of relevant experience in data governance, data strategy, analytics enablement, privacy support, or technology risk, including hands-on delivery experience.

• Proven understanding of core data governance principles, including data stewardship, data lifecycle, metadata, data quality, privacy, and access controls.

• Knowledge of AI governance principles, including model risk considerations, transparency and documentation, monitoring, and responsible AI practices.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex subjects in straightforward, practical terms and producing polished, client-ready documents.

• Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks effectively, and produce high-quality work in a dynamic environment.

• Must be a U.S. citizen and possess or be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

• Willingness to travel as required based on client and project demands.
