Data Analytics Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Data Analysts team to evaluate and prioritize requests based on complexity, effort, and business impact.

• Facilitate communication between project managers and the data team to ensure clear understanding of deadlines, project scope, and technical feasibility.

• Provide guidance and technical support to the Data Analysts team in the creation of dashboards, analyses, and data layers on Looqbox.

• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with Data Analysts to monitor technical development and performance metrics.

• Serve as the senior technical reference point for the data team while collaborating with Data Analysts and project managers.

• Ensure that customer needs are effectively translated into metrics, KPIs, and data requirements.

• Oversee and review complex exploratory and ad hoc analyses, directly managing the most critical cases.

• Establish guidelines and maintain consistency in the metrics semantic layer and the team's documentation practices.

• Define and review data visualization standards to uphold the quality of the team's outputs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Python (including pandas, numpy, and notebooks) and SQL.

• Prior experience in managing or leading teams and individuals.

• Capability to evaluate priorities and technical complexity of requests, along with the ability to negotiate deadlines and expectations.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to navigate between technical and business terminology.

• Understanding of descriptive statistics and fundamental knowledge of statistical inference.

• Adherence to good programming practices, including version control (Git), thorough documentation, and code refactoring.

• Proficient in intermediate English.

• Nice-to-haves: experience with AI tools utilized in data analysis.

• Nice-to-haves: background in the retail industry.

• Nice-to-haves: experience with medium to large enterprise clients.

• Nice-to-haves: knowledge of dimensional modeling and the construction of semantic layers for analytics.

• Nice-to-haves: familiarity with orchestration/ETL tools (like Airflow) and non-relational databases.

• Contracting as a Service Provider (PJ).
